Flash and instant airtime

By Andrew Walmsley · 16 December 2024 · Updated 3 November 2026 · Smartslip.ai, built by Brazen Labs

An airtime card, a mint lightning mark and a small voucher.

Flash Group’s voucher campaign is a clean example of simplicity doing the heavy lifting. Send a photo of the till slip on WhatsApp and you could win instant airtime. Easy to enter, easy to understand, and the reward did not wait for a winner’s announcement. Sales moved, and loyalty moved with them, because people felt the thank-you immediately.

What stood out

  • Simplicity. A photo and a WhatsApp message. That ease is why a large number of people entered.
  • Instant gratification. Airtime, straight away, kept people engaged and gave them a reason to do it again.
  • Loyalty. A fast, fair reward feels like appreciation. Appreciation is what brings the next purchase.

When the entry is easy and the reward is immediate, people engage. The slip is still checked before the airtime goes out, so a photo that does not qualify is not treated as a win. Rewards are sent through SmartRewards.
